iXBRL is an extension of XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), the international standard for sharing business information electronically.
XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), is the international standard for exchanging structured data in machine-readable format. iXBRL, or Inline XBRL, is an extension of XBRL that enables a single report to provide both human-readable and machine-readable data.
In the UK, iXBRL is used to tag accounts and other business information in annual reports using Taxonomy published by Standard Setters: Financial Reporting Council or other applicable bodies and submit them as iXBRL reports to the UK Business Register: Companies House; Securities Regulator: Financial Conduct Authority; Tax Authority: HM Revenue & Customs, Charities Regulator: Charity Commission for England and Wales.
With UK iXBRL Viewer, you can access machine-readable structured data (XBRL facts) from tagged iXBRL reports available in the Companies House Registry and the National Storage Mechanism. For more information on the UK iXBRL Viewer, please see the User Guide.
Please note that this service only searches for annual reports that are in iXBRL format. If you are unable to find the report, please go to the Companies House Search page or National Storage Mechanism.
